TD’s Story

Tahibatou grew up with 4 siblings, growing especially close to her brother. Tahibatou did everything with her brother, and they planned on leaving Togo for the United States together. They did their medical tests and discovered that Tahibatou’s brother had hepatitis B. Due to his hepatitis B diagnosis, Tahibatou was not allowed to emigrate to the United States, and they were forced to separate. Today, Tahibatou is learning everything she can about hepatitis B to teach African communities in the United States about Hepatitis B.
